ABOUT RIDGELINE

Perspective matters most when the terrain is changing.

Ridgeline Advisory Group helps leaders interpret consequential external change before it becomes an operating surprise. The work combines strategic intelligence, scenario design, enterprise exposure analysis, and executive decision support.

WHO IS BEHIND RIDGELINE

Michael Keen, Chief Intelligence Officer and Managing Partner, Ridgeline Advisory Group

Michael Keen · Chief Intelligence Officer & Managing Partner

Michael Keen founded Ridgeline to solve one problem. Leaders get more information than they can convert into a decision.

He built RIOS and the Decision Signal System to close that gap, decision architectures that make assumptions, thresholds, and decision rights explicit instead of implicit.

That discipline didn't start in a boardroom. It started decades earlier, on a trading floor and a mountain.

Keen started climbing in college and later traded bonds on Wall Street. He left the trading desk and went back to climbing full time, summiting Everest twice and reaching six of the Seven Summits.

From there he moved into enterprise strategy and technology leadership, eventually applying RIOS and DSS directly with enterprise clients at a global research and advisory firm.

He's the Chief Intelligence Officer and Managing Partner at Ridgeline.

The Ridgeline name comes from the climbing years. Position changes what you can see. A better view changes the decision you make next.

THE STANDARD

Ridgeline analysis is designed to make assumptions visible, trace how external change reaches the enterprise, identify what would change the judgment, and connect that evidence to a decision an executive can own.

THE RIDGELINE IDEA

A better position changes what you can see

In mountaineering, a ridgeline provides orientation, route context, early visibility into changing conditions, and perspective on what lies ahead.

THE VANTAGE IDEA

A better view changes the decision

Ridgeline Vantage applies that principle to strategy: see farther, understand transmission, and act while options remain open.

THE STANDARD

Judgment over volume

The objective is not more information. It is clearer interpretation, explicit assumptions, disciplined uncertainty, and better decisions.
